Studied at the Haagse School voor Fotografie and the Vrije Academie. In 1972 he established himself as an independent photographer in Amsterdam. For a short period of time he worked for the journals Quote and Haagse Post. After that he did a lot of commissioned work for governments and companies. He often uses a staged approach.
