Photographer and senior lecturer at the University of Brighton. In 1996 his book 'The Shipping Forecast’ was published, followed in 2000 by his book about the London Millennium Dome.

He exhibited in New York, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Florence, Lisbon, Paris and London. He won several awards, such as the Prix Mosaique, Luxemburg, 1996, the Oskar Barnack prize, BRD, 1997 and the second prize at the World Press Photo competition in 1999.
