1975-2001: Dutch History Photo Commissions > In the Service of the Kingdom

Exhibition: 1992-1993

What is the place and role of the modern monarchy in the polity and in society? Photographer Werry Crone illustrates this by picturing the functioning of the head of state and of those who represent her. The photographer captured this systematically and in all its aspects during a year-long period. The private lives of the Queen and other members of the Royal Family are left aside.

The exhibition took place from 19 December 1992 until 14 March 1993 and coincided with Beatrix 12½ year reign.
