Documentary photographer who made a name for himself with the numerous reports he made in the course of the last fifty years in about 85 countries. People are the common denominator in his work. In the sixties he travelled with travel writer Cees Nooteboom for the magazine Avenue. His work has appeared in magazines like Paris Match and Time-Life, and he works as a freelance photographer for daily newspaper De Volkskrant.

Recently he has been working on a project titled De Verworpenen (Outcasts), about children in need. His work has appeared in numerous publications and can be seen on www.hollandsehoogte.nl.
