Broadside ballads > Bob Fosko
Bob Fosko, aka Geert Timmers (Baarn 1955), became known as the wild front man of punk-rock band De Raggende Manne. After starting out playing at incidental occasions, the band acquired an enormous reputation in the 1990s for their legendary live performances, headed by Fosko's singing and screaming. In the interest of both the band's and the audience's health, performances never last longer than 45 minutes.
Fosko also performs with innumerable other groups, and is an active jazz musician, actor, host, panel member, TV host, etc. He performs in commercials, works for radio and TV and plays in movies and TV series. He joined Frans van Deursen for the 2002 theatre tour of 'The official tribute to The Blues Brothers'.
