Archeological finds from the Netherlands
A collection of the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden
The earliest history of the Netherlands is illustrated here by an extensive selection of archeological objects from the collection of the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden (National Museum of Antiquities) in Leiden.
This selection contains descriptions of more than 9700 objects from the Prehistoric period, the Roman period and the Middle Ages, all found in the Netherlands. Most of these objects are stored in the museum's depots. On this website they are now freely accessible to everyone.
