Prentenboek met contourloze illustraties in oranje, groen, zwart en kakikleur speels over de pagina's verdeeld, en tekst op rijm, over de bevrijding met de feestelijke intocht van Canadezen en Schotten, met afbeeldingen van tanks, jeeps en vrachtwagens, van negersoldaten, van een ontvangst van 'tommies' thuis en van het legerkamp (Zie S. de Bodt.
