Green bottle
In 1986 a shipwreck was excavated in Swifterbant (in the province of Flevoland). The ship - used for transporting fish - sank around 1700. On board were some 250 objects, including this bottle.
Most of the objects were found either where they had been stowed or where they would have been used (cabinets, storage spaces, living quarters). On the shoulder of the bottle is an applique around 5 mm thick showing a bust of a man and an illegible inscription.
