Exquisite packaging
Under the leadership of managing director Pierre Dobbelmann (1862-1934) the factory distinguished itself by its a wide variety of soaps that had a very luxurious look, partly thanks to the exquisite packaging. The packaging of the Cherry Blossom Soap shown here was intended for the Anglo-Saxon market. Although this was a new market it would appear that the packaging was based on existing designs that were adapted for this occasion.
