A collection of the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen

Inkstand, 1779.

This digital collection presents more than 2,500 examples of Dutch applied arts, from the collection of the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam. On display are objects from the 11th through the 20th century - from medieval crockery to precious ornamental pieces from the Golden Age, from medical utensils to religious artefacts.

Because the collection contains both handmade as well as industrially manufactured items, links between craftsmanship and industry are highlighted.
