Curtain, 19th centuryTheatre made from a cut out with printed puppets and decors. After cutting out the various parts and sticking things together, the play could begin. The cardboard theatre was very much in vogue in the nineteenth century. In the family circle, people mostly put on popular dramas that had been shortened considerably. On the miniature stage, the little cardboard figures are moved or slid back and forth from either the top or the side.
