Stork photo collection, 1868-1968 > Company photography at Stork

Stork had figured out quickly that good PR can work wonders for a company's image. The photo collection can be seen as a huge collection of advertising material, which might be called progressive for utilising a relatively young medium such as photography. The collection was not only used for the distribution of product information, but also as a tool for documenting the company's history in images.

Numerous company processes and developments were photographed systematically. The production process of various kinds of machinery was documented, from the foundation plate to on-site installation. But the continuous development of social and medical staff facilities was also already being photographed at a very early stage in the company's history.
