In addition to sports, wars, special events and everyday life, royal families made up an important part of the news in pictures in Het Leven. Not only was Queen Wilhelmina pursued and glorified, so were foreign royal families, as the three monarchs shown here from the former Dutch East Indies. They visited the Netherlands on the occasion of Queen Wilhelmina's 25th jubilee in 1923. Apart from the names of the monarchs, the caption gave no further details - the makers were probably most interested in the appearance of this special party.
