The Sterrenberg Molen in Nijeveen (Drenthe)
The Sterrenberg Molen has two special components. The sails of two vanes roll up automatically: the stocks are fitted with small perpendicular slats that rotate round their longitudinal axis. When the wind pressures increases, the little flaps open to let the wind pass through. The mill also has a cap that turns by itself: the compass rose at the back of the cap sets it in motion to face the wind. The miller need not do so, and the cap always faces the right direction.
