- Ook de persstraten van de Volvo Car Fabriek in Born zijn geautomatiseerd, er zijn robots aanwezig. Een persstraat is een reeks van persen achter elkaar. Aan het begin van een persstraat gaat er een plaat ijzer in. Bij elke pers wordt een bepaalde handeling verricht met gereedschap van een bepaalde vorm. Aan het einde van de persstraat komt de plaat er uit, bewerkt tot een carrosserie-onderdeel. De man bewaakt het productieproces; hij is robotwacht. Vroeger moest hij nog zelf de platen ijzer met de hand van pers naar pers tillen. Dit werk wordt nu door de robot gedaan. Toch is het werk voor de werknemer hiermee gecompliceerder geworden. Zijn taak is verbreed en verdiept, want het onderhoud van de machines behoort nu ook tot de taak van de werknemer. Sommige werknemers hebben problemen gehad met de taakverbreding, die hen is opgelegd. De werknemers kregen bij de automatisering eerst een extra opleiding, hierna werden de robots ingevoerd. De robot staat links achter een hek, omdat het levensgevaarlijk is er dichtbij te komen. Bezoekers mogen daarom alleen naar binnen met een bezoekerspas.
