- Deze hoed heeft het model van een modehoed uit het begin van de 19de eeuw. Hij bleef in Staphorst en Rouveen in gebruik en werd daar met de blauwe linten opgemaakt. Een vrouw droeg zo’n hoed over de muts met het oorijzer bij haar kerkelijk huwelijk en bij de doop van haar kinderen. Tijdens de kerkdienst werd de hoed afgezet. Vóór 1900 werd de hoed ook gedragen bij begrafenissen en in de eerste weken van de zware rouw naar de kerk. In de rouw was de lintversiering van de hoed zwart. Rond 1950 raakten deze hoeden in Staphorst in onbruik. In Rouveen waren ze reeds eerder uit de mode.
