- Bladindex van de Topografische kaart van Suriname 1:40.000, verschenen tussen 1953 en 1968. Bladwijzer van de verschenen 150 bladen, de genummerde bladen zijn in principe in vier deelbladen onderverdeeld: bijvoorbeeld: blad 12 bestaat uit blad 12a, 12b, 12c en 12d. In 1945 werd in een rapport van de Commissie voor bestudering van Naoorlogsche Problemen in Suriname de wenselijkheid van luchtkartering benadrukt voor de exploratie van grondstoffen in mijn- en bosbouw, voor aanleg van wegen en waterwerken en voor ruimtelijke ordening. Mede hierdoor kon in 1947-1948 met gelden uit het Welvaartfonds begonnen worden aan een systematische luchtopname door het Foto-technisch en Kartografisch bedrijf der K.L.M., op de schaal 1:40.000, van het noordelijk deel van Suriname. Uit deze opname ontsproten de bekende CBL-kaarten (Centraal Bureau Luchtkartering), waarop sindsdien de Surinaamse kartografie is gebaseerd. Het werd daardoor mogelijk op de kaart ook het tot dan toe steeds ontbrekende, onbekende gebied tussen de rivieren op te vullen. Tenslotte volgde tussen 1956-1960 ook de opname van de zuidelijke helft van het land. Alleen een beperkt aantal bladen uit de periode 1953-1955 is in meerkleurendruk verschenen. De rest is monochroom, met of zonder hoogtelijnen. In de jaren 1960 werd het werk aan de serie gestopt, vanwege het besluit om een geheel nieuw karteringsprogramma op te zetten.
