Jumping Jack
Flat puppet with hinged limbs that move as soon as someone pulls the string hanging from the puppet’s lower body. The movement is fairly uniform and basic; the arms and legs can only move sideways, simultaneously. The figure can be made of wood, but paper Jumping Jacks –made with copper-plate/lithography techniques and printed in the19th century- are more well-known. The sheets consist of parts of the figure's body (head, torso, arms, etc.), which could be cut out.
