- Description
- Floris V, graaf van Holland (1263-1296), afgebeeld in een boek over de graven van Holland uit 1744. Op de achtergrond wordt hij vermoord in 1296 bij Muiden. Zijn accijnsbrief van Haarlem uit 1274 is een van de belangrijkste oorkondes op het gebied van de oudste stedelijke belastingen. In 1275 verleent hij aan de Amsterdammers tolvrijdom in zijn graafschap als beloning voor hun hulp in zijn strijd tegen de Westfriezen die zijn vader graaf Willem II hadden gedood.
