- Tekening van een raam bestaande uit een groot en een klein deel, beide met tralies. Op de balk die als scheiding dient tussen de ramen staan enkele flessen en glazen. Voor het onderste raam hangt was te drogen. Getekend op de achterkant van een bladzijde uit een geïllustreerd Frans boek. In zijn dagboek "Triest Relaas" dat ook in de collectie aanwezig is, schrijft A.J.P. Borstlap het volgende over deze cel: "We vragen ons af waarheen, maar na een paar honderd meter is het duidelijk dat we naar de gevangenis gaan. We worden daar in ontvangst genomen door een vriendelijk doende Japanse onderofficier, die later Yamada blijkt te heten. Hij stopt ons vriendelijk met ons veertienen in een cel, die volgens het bordje op de deur een capaciteit van zes heeft. De traliedeur wordt met een groot, onvriendelijke hangslot afgesloten en we zitten, figuurlijk en letterlijk. Een houten brits van ongelijke planken, vol met 'prettige' opschriften zal voor de toekomst onze bedden, stoelen, tafels en kasten vervangen. De stemming is uitstekend: we leven en zullen de oorlog, zij het op minder prettige wijze, wel uitleven. Er zijn nu drie zaken waarvoor we ons interesseren: eten, slapen en sanitair. (...) Slapen zal moeilijk gaan: we hebben geen klampboes en we zitten in een waar muskietenhol. Ik bemachtig een molton babydekentje, zodat ik in ieder geval iets over me heen heb. De slaapruimte is ook wat bekrompen. Elf mannen liggen als lepeltjes in een doosje op de brits, drie op de cementen vloer. Als een man zich boven omdraait, moet de hele troep zich omdraaien (...). We slapen natuurlijk geheel gekleed i.v.m. de muskieten. Als we gebruik willen maken van de WC moeten we drie maal op de deur slaan."
