- The House Zwanenburg was the town hall of the polder district of Rijnland in the town of Halfweg. In Halfweg the complex of sluices was managed by the polder district. The house was built along a recently finished canal between Amsterdam and Haarlem after a design by architect Pieter Post between 1644 en 1648. The house was inhabited by the supervisor of Rijnland in Halfweg and it often served as meeting place for the polder district of Rijnland.
