- Baby's werden de eerste weken van hun leven stijf ingepakt of ingebakerd. Wanneer het kindje al vele lagen aan had, ging daarover de pakdeken. Degelijke witte dekens met rode strepen komen al op afbeeldingen van rond 1850 voor en zijn vrij algemeen gebruikt. In sommige streken zijn deze dekentjes gaan behoren tot de doopkleding. Deze deken werd gebruikt in Oldebroek.
