The De Wit Atlas is a city atlas with maps and prints of important monuments in Dutch cities. Atlases like these are extremely populair among the wealthy elite in the seventeenth century. Frederick de Wit also incorporates many copperplates from his illustrous predecessors Blaeu and Janssonius.
