- Curacao, an island of the Dutch West Indies, was conquered by the Dutch from Spain in 1634. This map was, probable at the end of the 17th century, compiled from nautical maps by Arent Roggeveen (deceased 1679) and Johannes van Keulen (c. 1634-1689).
