- Portret van admiraal Cornelis Tromp. Tromp draagt de versierselen van de Deense ridderorde van de Witte Olifant. Deze ridderorde had hij in 1676 van de Deense koning ontvangen, toen hij als opperbevelhebber van de gezamenlijke Deens-Nederlandse zeemacht had opgetreden tegen de Zweden. Op de achtergrond is een zeegezicht te zien, geschilderd door Willem van de Velde de Jonge. De rechterhand van Tromp, waarin hij de commandostaf vasthoudt, rust op een vuurmond van een kanon (een tromp).
