- Twee tekeningen in pen en kleurpotlood naast elkaar op twee tegenoverliggende bladen van een schetsboek. Links een tekening van een vrouw die een kind wast door een emmer water over het kind uit te gieten. Op de voorgrond een bankje met daarop een schaal en een ketel met een doek over het deksel. Rechts een tekening van een lange rij mensen die elkaar emmers water doorgeven vanaf de Cartesische bron in het kamp. Zij staan in een straatje van het kamp. Rechts enkele spelende kinderen. Om de keukens van water te voorzien vormden de vrouwen een menselijke ketting van de bron tot aan de keukens, om het water in emmers door te geven. De rij overbrugde was een afstand van ongeveer 250 meter. Het water kwam van een kraan uit een laag gebouwtje. Het gebouwtje was een zogenaamde Cartesische bron. De watertoren was afgesloten door de Indonesiërs waardoor de bron als enige watertoevoer voor de 4.000 inwoners overbleef.
