Description
Op het tableau staan de versregels: 'Het land te bouwen is mijn lust mijn hart en zinnen zijn belust te woonen bij het woelend vee gelijk als Vader Jacob dee'. Deze regels, in vele varianten, komen in de negentiende eeuw veel voor in tableaus die voor boerderijen gemaakt zijn.
