Mill D in De Schermer polders (North Holland)
De Schermer is the name of an area incorporating a number of polders in the Province of Noord-Holland. These polders are drained by several mills standing in a row, one behind the other. Every mill drains the water on a level higher than the previous one, in the direction of the watercourses. On view is the photograph of the D mill with the E mill in the background.
