Description
The map shows a section across South-America between Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires and was engraved by Gerard Coeck (1608/1609-c. 1649) and ordered by Joan Blaeu (1598-1673). Blaeu probable had to wait more than ten years for its publication. The map can only be found in the Atlas Maior.
