New machines
Factory worker Ms. Buters at the toothpaste filling machine in 1947. With the aid of the Marshall Plan (aimed at recovery and reconstruction of national economies after the World War II) a number of new American machines were acquired from 1948 onwards resulting in a sharp rise in labor productivity. The factory did very well in the 1950s. The company received a Royal Warrant in 1950. (photo: Paul Bessem).
