- Description
- The gardens of the casle of Versailles are considered as the creation of the French king Louis XIV. Louis XIV had a particularly liking of flowers and these were therefore present in abundance in the castle le grand trianon. This view on the flower gardens was engraved in 1684 by Willem Swidden (c. 1660-1697).
