- De Harlinger gleibakker Sijbrand Feijtema adverteert in september 1686 in de Amsterdamse Courant dat hij een nieuwe serie tegels heeft laten ontwerpen waarin alle titels van de Pandecta zijn uitgebeeld. De Pandecta of Digesten is één van de vier boeken van het 'Corpus iuris civilis,' waarin het Romeins Recht in de 6de eeuw door keizer Justinianus is verzameld en vastgelegd. In februari 1687 vraagt Feijtema voor dit project ook octrooi aan bij de Staten van Friesland, voor een periode van 15 jaar. Het gaat hier om een zeer origineel, onvergelijkbaar project. Er zijn niet veel andere pogingen bekend om alle 432 titels uit de Pandecten in beeld te brengen. Feijtema moet gemeend hebben dat er onder juristen en advocaten een markt bestond voor deze voorstellingen. Commercieel zal dit project echter mislukt zijn. In totaal zijn uit deze serie tot nu slechts 11 complete tegels en 13 fragmenten bekend, waaruit geconcludeerd mag worden dat er maar heel weinig van deze tegels gemaakt zijn. Wel zijn bijna al de ontwerptekeningen bewaard gebleven, tegenwoordig in het Fries Museum in Leeuwarden. Deze tegel, waarvan de bovenrand afgesneden is, toont titel 1 van boek 19: 'De actionibus empti venditi', over een betwiste koophandel. Op de achtergrond links komen twee kooplieden overeen dat de gekochte zaken (balen met stof, op de voorgrond) bij de koper bezorgd moeten worden. Uiteindelijk komt het paard echter zonder de gekochte waren bij de koper, waarna beide partijen voor de Praetor, helemaal rechts, verschijnen. De koper wijst naar het paard zonder lading, de Praetor maakt met zijn gebaar duidelijk dat hij de vordering toewijst.
