- In Noord-Holland bij Durgerdam bezweek in 1825 een gemetselde muur in de dijk. Heel Waterland kwam toen onder water te staan. Later zijn alle muurgedeelten in dijken met klei bedekt om de kans op herhaling te verkleinen.
