- Description
- This map of Austria was published by Frederik de Wit (1630-1706). Though it is well known that De Wit copied many maps and reissued many old copper plates, the sources of this map are unknown. De Wit probable composed this map from several maps published in the second half of the 17th century. It is possible that he used maps produced during the wars with the Turkish Empire.
