- Foto, zw/w. Gezicht op een gedeelte van de Chinese Muur die in noorden van China ligt en circa 6.200 kilometer lang is. De muur strekt zich uit van Shanhaiguan bij Bo Hai (300 km oostelijk van Peking) tot Lop Nur in het zuidoostelijk deel van de autonome regio Sinkiang. De muur werd gebouwd circa 2000 v. Chr. om het land te beschermen tegen de invallen van de Tartaren. — verso: in inkt, "Een gedeelte van den wereldberoemden Groote Chineesche Muur, ± 1400 mijl lang, 20 voet hoog en 20 voet dik.
