- Houten beeld, in zittende houding (de silå-houding) van een getuige bij de zitting van een inheemse rechtsbank. Dit beeld maakt deel uit van een groep van 11 figuren, voorstellend een zitting van een inheemse rechtsbank. De rechtspraak in Nederlands-Indië werd onderscheiden in inheemse rechtspraak en gouvernementsrechtspraak. De inheemse rechtspraak werd door het koloniale gezag gehandhaafd, deels uit politieke overwegingen, deels omdat het gouvernement niet over de benodigde gelden en mankracht beschikte.
