Catholic life in images > Herman Focke
Herman Focke (*1926) saw his work published from 1946 onwards in a large number of Dutch newspapers and weekly magazines, including De Groene Amsterdammer, Vrij Nederland, and De Tijd. Later in his career, he also contributed work to foreign periodicals. His work is on exhibit at the Caricature & Cartoon Museum in Basel, Switzerland, and he illustrated the booklet From Kauri to Euro (about money, guilders and the Dutch National Bank) in 2002. The caricatures in the collection are the original drawings by the author, made for De Bazuin, Het Agratisch Dagblad and Binnenlands Bestuur.
