- Een barak, omgeven door een omheining van palen met draad. De deuren staan open en zowel binnen als buiten lopen mannen. Voor de barak staan tonnen die als wc. worden gebruikt. Een Japanner houdt de wacht: hij heeft een geweer onder zijn arm. Tekst tekening: "2nd stay at Haito Camp, where I courtesy had obliterated the last vestiges of privacy and decency; H. de Fremery 31/3'45".
