Gietijzeren rijkswapenbord met opschrift: IN EN UITGAANDE REGTEN EN ACCYNSEN

- Een gietijzeren rijkswapenbord uit het midden van de negentiende eeuw, afkomstig van een douanekantoor te Weert. Met twee aanziende gekroonde leeuwen in natuurlijke kleur als schildhouders van het wapen van Nassau. Het wapen is conform het Koninklijk Besluit van 24 augustus 1815 van koning Willem I, maar bevat toch een fout. De gouden blokjes op het schild zijn liggend in plaats van staand afgebeeld. De modelleur heeft kennelijk de enige maanden in 1815 bij de rijksdiensten circulerende foutieve gravure met liggende blokjes als voorbeeld gebruikt. Deze gravure werd per kabinetsorder van 24 juni 1816 vervangen door een ander exemplaar met staande blokjes. Dat model werd in 1907 door koningin Wilhelmina vervangen door het rijkswapen dat nu nog geldt. In die beschrijving is duidelijk sprake van staande gouden blokjes op een azuurblauw veld.
