- Description
- Op de Noord-Veluwe waren talloze kleine boerenbedrijfjes. Veel van de opbrengst was voor eigen gebruik. De melk van de koeien en schapen werd door de boerin verwerkt. De vrouw op deze aquarel staat in een hoek van de stal aan de zwengel van de karnton: zij maakt boter. Bij dit werk draagt zij een lichtblauw katoenen schort over een blauwe rok. De kraplap over de blauwe borstrok wordt nog met banden om het middel gestrikt. In een latere periode sluit de zijkant met haken en ogen. De rode halsdoek wordt ook tijdens het werk gedragen. Op het hoofd heeft zij alleen de ondermuts.
