Stefan George, fifteen poems, later compiled in Der Teppich des Lebens
Material for print in the Tweemaandelijksch Tijdschrift. Manuscript. With a note by Albert Verwey.
Verwey had close contact with the German poet and soulmate Stefan George (1868-1933). He took it upon himself to make his work better known in the Netherlands. In 1899, he had 15 poems by George published as a pre-publication in the Tweemaandelijksch Tijdschrift (Two monthly magazine). George later included them in his collection Der Teppich des Lebens (The Carpet of Life).
