Policemen
This illegal pamphlet from 1943 concerns the role of the Dutch police. There certainly was no organized resistance in the police; most acts of resistance came from individual policemen. Resistance only really began on a more general scale when the policemen had to arrest people who had not committed any crime, such as Jews and people who had gone into hiding to escape forced labour in Germany. Dismissal awaited policemen who refused to obey orders. A number of policemen were arrested and sent to a concentration camp.
