- Foto uit 1957. Het stadhuis van Sluis werd door een onbekend bouwmeester in 1375 gebouwd. Het brandde 18 jaar later af en werd in het begin van de 15de eeuw herbouwd. Het heeft 5 eeuwen getrotseerd tot het op 11 oktober 1944 tijdens het bombardement bijna geheel verwoest werd. In 1956 werd met de herbouw in oorspronkelijke stijl begonnen, die in 1960 is voltooid. De toren in de trant van een Vlaams Belfort met 4 uitkragende hoektorentjes heeft in 1960 een nieuw carillon met 36 klokken gekregen. Litt. : G. Zeegers/ I. Visser: Kijk op stadhuizen.
