Municipality of Sliedrecht (Province of Zuid Holland)

On 14 May this municipality started issuing emergency money. In a short time span 7,950 notes were printed, namely, 3,500 in denominations of one guilder, 3,000 in denominations of a rijksdaalder (2.5 guilders) and 1,450 in denominations of 10 guilders. Of these, 3,200, 840 and 1,000 copies, respectively, were brought into circulation. On 17 May the message that the emergency money was to be withdrawn was sent out. The money could then be handed in at the municipality from 20 to 27 May. It became worthless after this date. In the end, 4 rijksdaalders and 23 guilder coupons were not handed in.
