Letter from Albert Verwey to Van Eeden
1894-01-07. First page.
Frederik van Eeden and Albert Verwey had become acquainted at the literary society Flanor. Together with Willem Kloos, they had founded De Nieuwe Gids in 1885. Soon, however, the two literary friends went their separate ways; they nevertheless did not lose sight of each other, though critically and from a distance. In this letter, Verwey writes Van Eeden that he is going to review the latter’s books in De Kunstwereld.
