The Netherlands Institute for Cultural Heritage is a government institution that manages and preserves moveable cultural heritage.

The Netherlands Institute for Cultural Heritage manages the part of the Dutch State's art collection that has not been placed among the independent national museums. This collection consists of over 100,000 objects, half of which is on loan to museums and government institutions. The rest is held in depositary by the Collections department in Rijswijk, where the ICN has excellent facilities with over 12,000 square meters (40,000 square feet) of storeroom and studios for complicated technical activities and restorations.

The ICN also offers advice on culture and collection management, conducts conservation research, schools restorers and organises training courses for restorers and employees of institutions that manage art collections.

The Netherlands Institute for Cultural Heritage is a part of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
