After receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Biology, he studied audiovisual design at the Rijksacademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. Since 1981 he has been working as an independent photographer with a preference for architectural photography.
His work has been on show in various solo and group exhibitions and has appeared in various publications.
